Yeski Taspa (cyr. “Ескі таспа”; lit. Old Tape) is a musical project, where musicians perform old Kazakh songs in new styles and adaptations. Yeski Taspa is the primary series of ARTJAQ, a cultural project partly owned by the Kazakhstani government, though financially supported by various financial institutions (seasons 1–3 by Jusan Corporation / Alatau City Bank, season 4 by Freedom Bank).

Yeski Taspa started in 2022, releasing individual tracks via YouTube. In 2023, ARTJAQ compiled the earlier recordings into a season 1 compilation for easier release on international streaming platforms. The whole project was positively received in Kazakhstan though it did not capture broader international attention. Yeski Taspa continued its gradual releases as “seasons” capped by mixes and compilation releases – season 2 (2023) and season 3 (2024). Season 4 is still ongoing, started by Saddradin’s performance of Anashym (March 2025), still releasing new tracks as of December 2025.
